St. John\u2019s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, January 13, 2026<\/p>

The police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Fort Road at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12
.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 20-year-old male was seated outside an apartment building in the Barrymore Hotel area, when three assailants dressed in dark clothing, approached and fired several shots in his direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his head and was transported by police to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he remains in stable condition. Investigations remain ongoing.<\/p>

Meanwhile, the police are appealing to anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
