Two Men Sentenced for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis<\/p>

St. John\u2019s, Antigua and Barbuda, Thursday, January 8, 2026<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Two men who previously pleaded guilty to separate offences of unlawful possession of cannabis were sentenced at the All Saints Magistrate\u2019s Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first matter, 48-year-old Terrance \u201cFunk\u201d Roberts of Federation Road appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel for sentencing after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of 267.8 grams of cannabis. Roberts was fined $5,000.00, to be paid within one (1) year.
In default, he will serve one year at His Majesty\u2019s Prison.<\/p>

In a separate matter, 32-year-old Roshawn Elliott of Potters Village also appeared before Magistrate Emanuel for sentencing after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of 1.1 pound (499 grams) of cannabis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elliott was fined $15,000.00 to be paid within one year. In default of payment, he will serve eighteen (18) months at His Majesty\u2019s Prison.<\/p>
