The sentencing before Justice Stanley John, originally scheduled for December 11, 2025, has been postponed to allow time for the completion of a pre-sentencing report, which will be prepared by social workers. This standard court procedure provides a detailed overview of a defendant’s personal and social background to aid in determining an appropriate and fair sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While expressing their disappointment with the delay of the pre-sentencing report, which was extended through the holiday season, the family has emphasized its importance, particularly in evaluating the potential impact of any sentence on Mr. Simon’s two young daughters, who are currently in primary school.<\/p>
