St. Peter Member of Parliament Asot Michael says the recovery of his
\nmother from a recent illness has been nothing short of a miracle.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Ambassador Josette Michael returned to Antigua and Barbuda on Easter
\nSunday after being hospitalised with a heart condition known as Atrial
\nFibrillation.<\/p>\n

Mrs Michael was in the Intensive Care Unit at South Miami Hospital for
\nthe ailment.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

She was later flown from Miami on an air ambulance to the St. Mary\u2019s
\nHospital at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota two weeks ago.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

After being released from the St. Mary\u2019s Hospital two weeks ago her
\nheart went back into normal sinus rhythm and she did not require it to
\nbe \u201cshocked \u201c,\u00a0 a procedure called cardioversion which would have
\nnormally been necessary for someone with this condition.<\/p>\n

Following this amazing recovery, Mrs Michael is doing well and resting
\nand recuperating nicely.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cIt happened so suddenly,\u201d the member of parliament recalls, \u201cas all
\nher tests at Mayo went really well and we were scheduled to return
\nhome.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so stressful after being in Mayo for two full weeks and having
\nto fly back there,\u201d Michael who was at his mother\u2019s bedside recalled.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Mrs Michael received holy communion and her son Asot asked a priest to
\npray for her. He also prayed for her recovery.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Shortly after this prayer, Michael said he received the good news.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Michael says her doctors and nurses informed him that her heart
\nwent back into normal rhythm and she no longer has the Atrial
\nFibrillation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael said the family could not have been happier at the news.<\/p>\n

Following this amazing recovery, Mrs Michael is doing well and resting
\nand recuperating nicely but on medications.<\/p>\n

The Michael family is crediting all the residents, friends and
\nfamily who prayed for her recovery and thanking the doctors and nurses
\nat the Mayo Clinic for their professionalism.<\/p>\n
