In re\u00adsponse, Ban\u00adton ques\u00adtioned the va\u00adlid\u00adi\u00adty of the search af\u00adter the po\u00adlice left emp\u00adty-hand\u00aded.<\/p>

This in\u00adci\u00addent, Grif\u00adfith said \u201cwas set to cause a ma\u00adjor rift be\u00adtween our coun\u00adtry and Ja\u00admaica. Hence the TTPS may have been di\u00adrect\u00adly re\u00adspon\u00adsi\u00adble for such a rift,\u201d Grif\u00adfith stat\u00aded.<\/p>\n

Dur\u00ading the con\u00adcert, Grif\u00adfith promised Ban\u00adton that T&T and Ja\u00admaica would re\u00admain \u201cal\u00adlies for\u00adev\u00ader.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grif\u00adfith al\u00adso ad\u00advised those who were more con\u00adcerned about na\u00adtion\u00adal pop\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adi\u00adty to put their en\u00ader\u00adgies where it can be bet\u00adter val\u00adued.<\/p>\n

\u201cHad I not done this, re\u00adla\u00adtions be\u00adtween both coun\u00adtries could have been se\u00advere\u00adly af\u00adfect\u00aded.<\/p>\n

\u201cPos\u00adsi\u00adble boy\u00adcotts of our prod\u00aducts and oth\u00ader pri\u00advate sec\u00adtor sanc\u00adtions were al\u00adso on the ta\u00adble. If oth\u00aders are not aware or care about this due to ego over com\u00admon sense, I can\u00adnot help that.\u201d<\/p>\n

If his ac\u00adtions af\u00adfect\u00aded some peo\u00adple but helped to bridge the gap be\u00adtween the two Caribbean coun\u00adtries, Grif\u00adfith said he felt sor\u00adry for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did what was need\u00aded to be done. Not to please those who have noth\u00ading bet\u00adter to do oth\u00ader than crit\u00adi\u00adcise due to their in\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty to un\u00adder\u00adstand the big\u00adger pic\u00adture.<\/p>\n
