Antigua Transfers Trinidadian Fugitive; Court Orders Removal of Four Jamaicans<\/p>

Antiguan authorities have transferred a Trinidadian national to officials from his home country after his arrest during a joint task force operation late Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police identified him as Cornelius Thomas, 39, an assistant manager at the Boardroom nightclub on Nevis Street. He was detained over the weekend and is being returned to Trinidad and Tobago, where he is wanted in an ongoing criminal investigation.<\/p>

Separately, four Jamaican citizens were ordered to leave Antigua and Barbuda after admitting in court that they overstayed their entry permits.<\/p>

Senior Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel issued the removal orders after hearing guilty pleas from Marcel Parker, 34, an independent contractor living in Perry Bay; Kizzy Johnson, 36, a beauty professional from St. John\u2019s Street; Javon Keroy Watson, 28, a carpenter from Bendals; and Luckicy Andra McDermott, 34, a barber residing in Yorks Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All five individuals are being held at the Immigration Detention Facility until they are scheduled to depart later this week.<\/p>
