The Antigua Public Utilities Authority <\/a>(APUA) has apologised to customers affected by an early-morning power outage<\/a> after a vehicle accident damaged infrastructure along parts of Cedar Valley and Friars Hill Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the APUA Electricity Business Unit, the disruption <\/a>occurred at about 02:19 local time on the Cassada Gardens #3 Feeder.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The damaged section of the network was immediately isolated,<\/a> and crews have been deployed to replace a utility pole and restore power<\/a>.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Engineers continued repair work through the morning as electricity remained off in a number of northern communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Areas affected included Utility Drive, New Winthropes, Cedar Valley Gardens, Cedar Valley Springs, Barnes Hill, Powells, Hodges Bay, Cedar Grove, Cassada Gardens #7, Longfords and Mount Pleasant North.<\/p>

APUA said it is working to restore normal service as quickly as possible and thanked customers for their patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
