Sixty-three-year-old Meryl Chiddick was sentenced to 42 years in prison today for the murder Liberta farmer, Conroy Andrew.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\n

Andrew was gunned down on his farm on November 10, 2014.<\/p>\n

\n

The court heard detailed evidence of the killing from 23-year-old Aundrey Joseph who went with Chiddick to the scene.<\/p>\n

\n

Joseph testified Chiddick led him in some bushes and they eventually arrived at the yard of a tall black rastaman.<\/p>\n

\n

He said Chiddick told him to wait as the older man moved toward the rastaman, who had a cutlass in his hand.<\/p>

Joseph testified he soon heard several gunshots before Chiddick ran back and said he killed the man.<\/p>\n

\n

He also recalled seeing the deceased\u2019s body rolling on the ground.<\/p>

Joseph, who was also charged with murder pleaded guilty to manslaughter before testifying against Chiddick at the trial.<\/p>\n

\n

Several other witnesses testified seeing the convict in the area on the day of the murder.<\/p>\n
