23-Year-Old Dominican National Killed in Early-Morning Scooter Crash<\/strong><\/p>

A 23-year-old man from Dominica died early Sunday after crashing his scooter on Popeshead Street in St. John\u2019s, prompting an outpouring of grief from Dominican communities in Antigua and Wesley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police said Joshua Alexander, who lived in Light Foot, lost control of his black scooter around 2 a.m. and slammed into a wall and sidewalk near Pita Pocket. Emergency responders found no signs of life, and a doctor later pronounced him dead at 3:16 a.m.<\/p>
