The Government of Antigua and Barbuda<\/a>, in collaboration with the United Nations Barbados and Eastern Caribbean office, successfully <\/a>unveiled the UN80 SDG Art Mural<\/a> today, Friday, November 28th, 2025, as part of the global observance of the United Nations\u2019 80th Anniversary.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony took place at 9:30 a.m. along Independence Avenue, just outside the Antigua Recreation Grounds <\/a>(ARG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vibrant mural, created through a collaborative process, brought together the Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>, local youth, persons with disabilities, and key civil society organizations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Guided by the theme \u201cBuilding Our Future Together \u2013 Everyone Counts,<\/a>\u201d the artwork reflects the collective vision of inclusivity, unity, and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to visually represent the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the mural now stands as a striking symbol of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s continued commitment to sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Its colorful imagery and community-driven creation process highlight the importance of ensuring all voices\u2014especially youth and marginalized groups\u2014are part of national development dialogues.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s unveiling drew government officials, UN representatives, community stakeholders, and members of the public who gathered to celebrate this milestone of creativity, collaboration, and civic pride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also served as a moment of reflection on the country\u2019s achievements and ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda expressed appreciation to all partners and contributors, noting that the mural will serve as a lasting reminder that everyone counts in the nation\u2019s journey of progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
