<\/strong>The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission<\/a> (ABEC) announces that two of its senior officials have been selected by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM<\/a>) to participate in Election Observer Missions for upcoming General Elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Lucia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commissioner Clovis St. Romain<\/a> has been appointed <\/a>to serve as a member of the CARICOM Election Observer Mission for the General Elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, scheduled for November 27, 2025.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

His participation will support CARICOM\u2019s continued commitment to promoting free, fair, and transparent electoral processes across the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Ian S. Hughes<\/a>, Supervisor of Elections, has been selected to serve as Chief of Mission for the CARICOM Election Observer Mission to the General Elections in St. Lucia on December 1, 2025. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As Chief of Mission, Mr. Hughes will provide leadership and oversight to the observer team, ensuring its work is carried out in accordance with CARICOM\u2019s established guidelines and principles of impartiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the appointments, Chairman of ABEC, H.E. Arthur G. B. Thomas, stated: \u201cOur continued selection for these missions, signals recognition of the trust reposed in us and our ongoing efforts to build capacity within the organization.<\/p>

We view each deployment as both an affirmation of our institutional credibility and an opportunity to further enhance the technical<\/p>
