PM Browne Says Upcoming Budget Will Be \u201cRelatively Short,\u201d Highlights 10 Years of Development<\/strong><\/p>

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says this year\u2019s Budget Statement will be \u201crelatively short,\u201d noting that he does not plan to speak for more than 90 minutes when he presents it to Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In comments ahead of Budget Day, Browne said his focus will be on outlining key indicators that he believes show sustained progress under his administration.<\/p>

He said his government has \u201cdelivered\u201d and \u201cimproved the living standards of people of Antigua and Barbuda,\u201d adding that the country is \u201ca far better place than it was 10 years ago.\u201d<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Browne told the public that he has \u201cnothing to prove\u201d in this year\u2019s presentation, saying the intention is simply \u201cto point out a few of the metrics to show\u2026 without any contradiction that we have delivered for the people of Antigua and Barbuda.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also projected further national development by the end of the current term, saying the country will \u201celevate to a higher level\u201d within the next three to five years and that it will become \u201cextremely noticeable by all\u201d that \u201cmonumental strides\u201d have been made.<\/p>

Looking ahead to 2026, Browne urged citizens to move forward \u201cstrong and united\u201d to ensure Antigua and Barbuda continues to be regarded as \u201cone of the most successful small island states globally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
