PM Says Management Plan for Booby Alley Housing Already in Place<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says the government has already settled the management structure for the soon-to-open Booby Alley housing complex, assuring residents that the administration has developed a plan for operating the new facility once tenants move in.<\/p>

Speaking on the Browne and Browne<\/em> show, Browne responded to a discussion about long-term oversight of the multimillion-dollar development by confirming that the management arrangements were not an afterthought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell\u2026 we have that sorted,\u201d the Prime Minister said. He added that, given the size of the new complex, day-to-day operations would require more than one administrator. \u201cTwo or three property managers,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Browne said he and another host had previously lived in apartment developments in the United States and were familiar with how such facilities are managed, noting that similar principles would guide how the new complex is run.<\/p>

The Prime Minister made the remarks as he outlined the significance of the project, which sits at the gateway to St. John\u2019s and will be visible to cruise visitors entering through the new home-porting area on Newgate Street. He said the development forms part of a broader effort to modernise the capital\u2019s waterfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-host Donna Shire supported the need for structured oversight and suggested that large housing complexes benefit from clear rules, management processes and proper vetting. \u201cYou need to have a property manager\u2026 You need to have an application and a vetting process,\u201d she said.<\/p>

The Booby Alley project is nearing completion after years of planning and is expected to open alongside other upgrades in the Point community. The government has not yet released the full management framework but Browne said the key elements have already been determined.<\/p>\n
