Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant said the Statistics Division<\/strong> and Census Secretariat<\/strong><\/a> have been alerted to instances of impostors <\/a>attempting to collect information under false pretenses.<\/a><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He assured the public that legitimate enumerators are clearly identified<\/strong> <\/a>and wear official blazers and badges<\/strong><\/a> issued by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey will be properly identified with blazers and other identification that will ensure you know you are letting authorized enumerators onto your premises,\u201d Merchant said during Thursday\u2019s post-briefing session.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He encouraged citizens to exercise vigilance and to contact the relevant authorities if they have any doubts about the authenticity of an enumerator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The appeal comes as the 2025 Census continues across Antigua and Barbuda, with more than 400 enumerators deployed to collect data vital for national planning and development.<\/p>
