Health authorities<\/a> are calling on relatives of several deceased persons to claim their loved ones\u2019 remains<\/a> by Friday, 21 November 2025<\/strong>, or face government-arranged burials in a public cemetery<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the Office of the Chief Health Inspector<\/strong> said the unclaimed bodies <\/a>are currently being held at Barnes Funeral Home<\/strong> and Straffie\u2019s Funeral Home<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Families <\/a>are advised to contact the funeral homes immediately to arrange private burials. Officials warned that once public interments take place, no legal claims <\/a>can be made afterwards.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At Barnes Funeral Home, the remains of Isaac Roacher<\/strong> remain unclaimed. Relatives are asked to contact Jessica Barnes<\/strong> at 462-1037<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Straffie\u2019s Funeral Home is holding the bodies of Purcell Hamilton<\/strong> (died 2 February 2025), Sylvester Hunte<\/strong> (29 April 2025), and Richard Farara<\/strong> (29 August 2025). Families should contact Leigh Ferrance<\/strong> at 462-0575<\/strong> or 462-2954<\/strong>.<\/p>
