A committal hearing has been set for February next year for the man accused of causing the death of visiting Guyanese law student Joyleen Abraham.<\/p>

Victor Ince, 24, of Lightfoot West, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week, who scheduled the hearing for 11 February 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ince faces two charges: forcibly seizing and confining 19-year-old Abraham, and unlawfully causing her death.<\/p>

Abraham, a University of Guyana law student, was visiting Antigua when she died on 7 May. Police say she reportedly jumped from a moving vehicle driven by Ince along a by-road between New Winthorpes Village and Jabberwock.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle was seized for forensic examination, and Ince was later detained for questioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case will proceed to the committal stage early next year.<\/p>
