Antiguan entertainer LyricKsMan<\/a> of LSA Entertainment has hailed <\/a>the knighting of the legendary Burning Flames <\/a>as a historic moment for Antigua and Barbuda<\/a>, calling it both a personal and national triumph<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The soca icon <\/a>expressed heartfelt congratulations to Sir Oungku, Sir Onyan, Sir Bubbi, and Sir Foxx, who were knighted during the 44th Anniversary of Independence celebrations<\/a> on November 3, 2025.<\/p>

\u201cThis is more than just an award \u2014 it\u2019s a national moment of truth,\u201d LyricKsMan said in a statement.<\/p>

\u201cAfter four decades of setting stages ablaze, shaping our identity, and lifting our flag through music, these legends have finally received the honour they have long deserved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the group\u2019s influence as deeply personal, recalling how their rhythms and lyrics shaped his musical journey from childhood. \u201cSince the age of three, Burning Flames has been my band.<\/p>

Their rhythms raised me, their lyrics taught me, their energy inspired me. From the very first time I heard that infectious beat, I knew music would be my destiny,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LyricKsMan credited Burning Flames\u2019 lead singer, Sir Oungku, as his \u201cmusical father\u201d and \u201cmentor from afar,\u201d praising his creativity and passion for keeping Antiguan soca vibrant.<\/p>

\u201cEvery time I perform one of their classics, I\u2019m not just singing \u2014 I\u2019m paying tribute,\u201d he said. \u201cTheir knighthood is not only a crown for the band but a symbol for every musician, dreamer, and islander who ever dared to rise from humble beginnings.\u201d<\/p>

Calling the band \u201cpioneers, teachers, and patriots,\u201d he added that their contribution went beyond music, representing Antigua and Barbuda across the region and instilling pride in generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
