Antiguan all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall has stepped down as captain of the Leeward Islands Hurricanes ahead of the CG United Super50 Cup in Trinidad.<\/p>

The 31-year-old, who also leads the Antigua and Barbuda Master Blasters, said the decision followed the conclusion of the recent LICB Mixed Tournament in St. Kitts, where his team finished second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think the team needs somebody else to take up the mantle,\u201d Cornwall said. \u201cI\u2019ll still be playing\u2014I\u2019m just enjoying my cricket and not captaincy.\u201d<\/p>

Cornwall said he remains committed to the team and proud of the young players who impressed during the recent tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
