Angela Mejia, who remains on remand at His Majesty\u2019s Prison, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week, but her committal hearing was postponed after her attorney, Wendel Alexander, failed to appear. The matter has been rescheduled for February 11, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case stems from the March 15, 2025 discovery of Chantel\u2019s body in bushes near her Weatherills home, hours after she was reported missing \u2014 a tragedy that sparked nationwide grief and calls for justice.<\/p>
