Public Servants to Receive Early Pay, Back Pay, and Salary Increase<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Public servants can look forward to a financial boost this Christmas as the Cabinet has confirmed that salaries will be paid early in December, along with back pay and an additional salary installment.<\/p>

Director-General of Communications Maurice Merchant said Cabinet \u201cconcretized\u201d the Prime Minister\u2019s earlier announcement to ensure that funds are available to cover the payments. The decision, he noted, was intended to allow workers to meet their holiday expenses comfortably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the December payouts, Merchant said the Cabinet also approved a second salary<\/strong> as part of the back-pay package, and a general salary increase<\/strong> is expected early in the new year following the 2026 national budget presentation.<\/p>

Prime Minister Gaston Browne had previously hinted that the adjustment would reward public officers for their contribution to national development and help offset increases in living costs.<\/p>
