Magnitude 4.0 Earthquake Recorded East of Antigua and Barbuda<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UWI Seismic Research Centre<\/a> (SRC) reported a magnitude 4.0 earthquake<\/a> early Friday morning, located east of Antigua and Barbuda<\/a>.<\/p>

According to the automatic earthquake location data, the tremor occurred at 2:13 a.m. local time (06:13 UTC) at a depth of 10 kilometres, with coordinates 16.54\u00b0N, 59.54\u00b0W.<\/p>

The quake\u2019s epicentre was approximately 264 kilometres east-southeast of St. John\u2019s, Antigua and Barbuda; 247 kilometres northeast of Roseau, Dominica; and 224 kilometres east of Point-\u00e0-Pitre, Guadeloupe.<\/p>
