The Ministry of Health began distributing prescription glasses on Monday at its High Street headquarters, with more than 100 people collecting their eyewear on the first day.<\/p>

The glasses were prescribed during the Ministry\u2019s June 2025 Health Fair at the Multi-Purpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre, held in partnership with United Hands Incorporated and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The fair provided medical, dental, and vision services to thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patients identified with vision issues received single or bifocal glasses free of cost, fully covered by the government. Those requesting progressive lenses paid a subsidized fee of $75, a sharp drop from the usual $2,000 cost.<\/p>
