The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has approved a comprehensive restructuring and modernization plan for the Treasury Department<\/strong>, aimed at improving financial management, accountability, and operational efficiency within the public finance system.<\/p>

According to Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant<\/strong>, the new framework will streamline the department by reducing its existing six divisions to four key functional areas<\/strong> \u2014 financial management, cash management, financial control, and accounting \u2014 each to be led by senior officers.<\/p>
