Dear Editor,<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It has become impossible to ignore the growing bias within the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda. For years, fairness in treatment has been questionable, but lately it has reached an outright disgraceful level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take for instance my neighbour, who, while completing her online degree at Monroe University, still gave her full commitment to serving the justice system. She balanced her studies and her duties with pride, often going above and beyond what was required. Yet her hard work and dedication went unnoticed.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Now, suddenly, individuals with higher ranks are being publicly praised for the very same achievement she already accomplished. How is that fair? How can we continue to applaud those in power while ignoring those who put in the same, if not greater, effort simply because they lack a title or rank?<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This kind of selective recognition undermines the values the force claims to stand for justice, equality, and integrity. It\u2019s disheartening to see capable, hardworking people be overlooked simply because they don\u2019t have stripes on their shoulders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we truly want a police force and a justice system that the public can trust, fairness must apply across the board. Recognition should be based on merit and contribution, not hierarchy or status. The people of Antigua and Barbuda deserve better and so do the officers who genuinely serve with dedication and humility.<\/p>
