In a statement released on Tuesday, Freeland said he is working with local businesses, community members, and government authorities to bolster safety across the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He confirmed that discussions are underway with business leaders to provide additional security cameras for institutions affected by the incidents. In parallel, plans are being developed with the government to install comprehensive community surveillance cameras throughout the constituency.<\/p>

Freeland also highlighted the contribution of community activist Bakesha James, who has donated funds for the installation of security cameras at Pigotts Primary School, underscoring the importance of community involvement in safeguarding children\u2019s learning environments.<\/p>

Speaking on law enforcement support, the senator said that following discussions with the Attorney General, the Honourable Steadroy Benjamin, assurances have been given for increased policing in affected areas. Plans have also been prioritised to establish a community watch group, encouraging residents to play an active role in protecting their neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour safety is paramount,\u201d Freeland said. \u201cAs a community, we will never relent in our efforts to maintain a safe environment where our children can learn and thrive without fear.\u201d<\/p>

He urged members of the public with information about the break-ins to report to the police or contact the CrimeStoppers Tips Hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
