Top 100 Students Honoured at 2025 Grade Six National Assessment Awards<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries joined with CIBC Caribbean<\/strong> on Tuesday to celebrate the academic excellence of 104 students<\/strong> at the 2025 Grade Six National Assessment Awards Ceremony<\/strong>, held under the patronage of Governor General Sir Rodney Williams<\/strong>.<\/p>

The annual event recognized the nation\u2019s top 100 performers<\/strong> in the Grade Six National Assessment, honoring their dedication, discipline, and perseverance through years of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education Minister Daryll Matthew<\/strong> delivered the keynote address, urging students to \u201cshine brightly\u201d as they transition to secondary school. Drawing on Proverbs 16:3, he reminded them to commit their goals to the Lord and trust that success will follow.<\/p>

\u201cYou\u2019ve proven that with hard work, guidance, and faith, success will come,\u201d he told the students. \u201cTeachers are the quiet heroes who mold potential into promise, and parents are the chapters that hold dreams together.\u201d<\/p>

Matthew thanked CIBC Caribbean<\/strong> for its ongoing partnership with the Ministry, describing the bank\u2019s sponsorship as an investment in \u201cthe very soul of the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing the sponsor, CIBC Corporate Manager Priscilla Leonce<\/strong> congratulated the students for their hard work and resilience. \u201cThis is more than an award presentation \u2014 it\u2019s a celebration of dreams taking shape and the powerful truth that when young minds are given the right support, they can soar beyond expectations,\u201d she said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A total of 34 students<\/strong> received Gold Awards<\/strong> for scores between 360 and 400, while 71<\/strong> earned Silver Awards<\/strong> for scores from 340 to 359. No bronze awards were presented this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director of Education Award<\/strong> went jointly to Baptist Academy of Antigua<\/strong> and St. Nicholas Primary School<\/strong>, each with 14 students<\/strong> among the top 100 achievers.<\/p>

Top individual honors also recognized outstanding subject performances across Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The event featured presentations by education officials, including Permanent Secretary Ina Dalso-Henry<\/strong>, Director of Education Clare Browne<\/strong>, and Assistant Director of Education Dr. Beverly Allen<\/strong>.<\/p>

In addition to trophies and certificates, the top three students received junior savings accounts<\/strong> from CIBC Caribbean, valued at $1,000, $600, and $400<\/strong>, to encourage financial literacy and reward academic excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony concluded with a performance by students from J.T. Ambrose Primary School<\/strong>, the top-performing public school on the 2025 list, followed by closing remarks from one of the honorees, who thanked parents, teachers, and sponsors for their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the evening ended, applause filled the hall for the young scholars \u2014 a new generation of achievers representing Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s bright academic future.<\/p>\n
