The system, designated as AL98, was monitored closely after forecasters indicated an 80% chance of cyclone formation within seven days. The wave had been moving westward at 15 to 20 mph towards the central Caribbean Sea, raising concerns for the Windward, Leeward, and ABC Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEnvironmental conditions had become increasingly conducive for development, and a tropical depression or storm was likely to form over the next few days,\u201d the advisory stated. Despite this, the system has now shifted, leaving local waters and skies clear.<\/p>
