Prime Minister Gaston Browne<\/strong> has defended the Peace Beach<\/strong> development at Barnacle Point<\/strong>, confirming that the reclaimed land is public property and dismissing claims that the project conflicts with any rights held by the Yida Group<\/strong>.<\/p>

During Thursday\u2019s parliamentary sitting, Browne faced questions from the Opposition about the nature and legality of the development. He clarified that while the foreshore<\/strong> in front of the reclaimed area is privately owned, the newly created land itself belongs to the state<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll reclaimed land is public land,\u201d Browne said. \u201cThe threshold in front of that beach is owned privately.\u201d<\/p>
