Latoya Christian, whose home was destroyed by fire earlier this year, says she is still struggling to find stable housing for herself and her children.<\/p>

Christian told Antigua Newsroom<\/em> that while she has received food, clothing, and other donations since the tragedy, her greatest need now is a place to live. \u201cI have been getting food, clothes, etc., but I\u2019m in need of somewhere to stay. My daughter just had a baby, and I have others all over. It\u2019s frustrating, to be honest. I\u2019m not saying it\u2019s anyone\u2019s fault, but all I need is some assistance for somewhere to live,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that she has been going to work without meals, and her five-year-old often relies on the school meal program.<\/p>

In July, Christian lost all her belongings when a fire gutted her home while she was preparing dinner. The blaze reportedly began in the kitchen after a gas hose caught fire. Despite her desperate efforts to put it out, the flames quickly spread through the house, forcing her and her children to flee over a fence to safety.<\/p>

Among those affected were her six-year-old daughter, her four-year-old son, and her then-pregnant 21-year-old daughter, who has since given birth. All of their clothing, documents, and baby supplies were destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christian says she is grateful to those who have helped so far but is appealing for urgent assistance to secure housing for her family.<\/p>
