Nine Suspects in Police Custody in Connection with Shooting at Fort James<\/p>

Nine (9) male suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations into a shooting incident that occurred at Fort James Beach on Thursday, October 9, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 10:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in which two individuals alleged that they were fired upon by a group of five men.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Following the report, officers from various units conducted extensive patrols in the Dry Hill and Fort Road areas. During these operations, three vehicles and multiple occupants were intercepted and searched. A 17-year-old of Cooks Hill was among the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the individuals were arrested on suspicion of shooting and taken to the St. John\u2019s Police Station. The vehicles were also taken to the police headquarters for further investigation.<\/p>

The Police Administration is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that can assist in the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call 911. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.<\/p>
