Well, it certainly does for me! And if you\ndisagree, I bet it\u2019s probably because you\u2019ve never been to paradise on earth:\nAntigua. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main Caribbean islands, Antigua is\nknown for its beaches – no surprise after my little introduction, huh \ud83d\ude42 – but\nthat\u2019s not the only reason that Antigua is one of the most favored cruise stops\nin the entire world. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Oh no, there\u2019s plenty more to Antigua than\njust relax on the beach with an ice cold drink (although that doesn\u2019t sound\nhalf bad to me!), things like friendly locals, an exotic bird sanctuary, and\nsunsets that look like paintings from Da Vinci himself. <\/p>

Read on to learn the specifics as to why cruising to Antigua<\/a>\nis one of my absolute favorite ways to experience it. You won\u2019t be\ndisappointed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Proud\nLocals Offering Great Advice for Food & Drink <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes a great community? Some might say\ngood food. Others may say it comes down to the weather. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Both are great, but a good town really comes\ndown to the people that live there. The truth of this statement really hits\nwhen you enter a community where the locals don\u2019t like tourists and aren\u2019t\nafraid to show it. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Well, Antigua is the exact opposite of that.\nIn fact, of all the tours I\u2019ve ever been on I would have to say that Antigua\nmight be the friendliest cruise port that I\u2019ve ever stopped at. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why, might you ask? Well, to be honest most of\nthe time locals try to hide their best food and drink spots, wanting to keep\nthem all to themselves. Not the case with Antigua. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether it is a hole in the wall rum joint or\na off-menu special at a 5-star restaurant, the locals will offer a hand to\nhelp. And in my book, that alone makes Antigua a one-of-a-kind location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frigate\nBird Sanctuary: A Place Not Just For Bird Lovers! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The subheading doesn\u2019t lie! Frigate Bird\nSanctuary is a must-see location for everyone, not just the bird-loving-folk! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019re probably thinking, \u201cOh okay, what makes\nyou so sure of that?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, consider this: the Frigate Bird\nSanctuary has a 4.5 rating on Trip Advisor<\/a> with comments such as \u201cyou have\nto check this out\u201d and \u201cI don\u2019t know what to say except you must see this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a bird sanctuary, I\u2019d say that is pretty\nspectacular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For cruise goers looking to check out these\nbeautiful flocks of birds, there are a ton of tour options available ranging from\nslow cruising boat rides to easy sailing through the island. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whichever you choose, just make sure you don\u2019t\nmiss it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ending\nWith a Perfect Sunset <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last but not least, the best part of Antigua\nhas to be the picturesque sunsets. But of course, there isn\u2019t much I can say\nabout those. I don\u2019t want to ruin all the fun. You\u2019ll just have to go visit to\nsee for yourself \ud83d\ude09 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
