Family members, friends, and supporters of the late Kahleel Simon gathered outside Police Headquarters on American Road on Friday, demanding justice in the ongoing investigation into his death.<\/p>

Among them was St. Mary\u2019s South MP Kelvin \u201cShugy\u201d Simon, who has consistently called for accountability in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protesters held placards and chanted \u201cJustice for Kahleel,\u201d urging that the officer who fatally shot the teen be suspended pending the outcome of investigations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAn innocent young man, full of promise, cut down in the prime of his life by those sworn to protect and serve,\u201d Simon said. \u201cWe will not be silent. We will not allow this injustice to be buried beneath bureaucracy and lies.\u201d<\/p>

He said his presence was not political but personal, standing in solidarity with the grieving family. \u201cThis is about justice\u2014plain and simple. We will not stop until Kahleel\u2019s family gets the answers they deserve,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The peaceful protest was the latest in the family\u2019s ongoing campaign for justice as they continue pressing authorities for answers.<\/p>
