Tropical Storm Octave is well southwest of Baja California and is not a threat to land right now.<\/p>

Off the coast of southwest Mexico, another system (EP99) is very likely to become a tropical depression later today or tomorrow. It will move slowly offshore, but could bring rain, rough seas, and gusty winds along the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second system could form south of Mexico by mid-next week, though chances are low for now.<\/p>
