This serves as notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF). Two (2) major highways are affected by reduced running lanes: <\/p>

Partial Road Closure:
\nDATE: Saturday 23rd March, 2019, TIME: 8.00am – 4.00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closure of west bound lane of Sir Sidney Walling Hwy (Factory Rd) from the side road (south), east of the traffic lights at the intersection of Sir George Walter Hwy to the traffic lights. <\/p>

Diversions: Left at the tamarind tree (near Franklyn\u2019s Auto repair shop), follow the road that leads back to the traffic lights.<\/p>

Full Road Closure:
\nDate: Sunday 24th March, 2019 TIME: 8.00am to 4.00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full road closure of Sir Sidney Walling Highway (Factory Rd) from Herbert Main Rd to the traffic lights at the intersection with Sir George Water Hwy. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Traffic attendants will be on hand on each day at each end of the closure, to assist with traffic management. Advance warning signs in addition to the closure\/diversion signs will be placed at each end to alert motorists of the closures.
\nDiversions: Left onto Hawkins Dr., right to Phillip Isaac\u2019s Rd then right onto Mahico Dr. and south to the highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Road users are urged to exercise extreme caution when traversing in the construction sites. Local access will be maintained for road users who are residents and individuals conducting business at any business places within the closed areas. Heavy duty vehicles will be allowed to pass as a slow speed.<\/p>

No parking will be allowed along main roads or side roads in the area.<\/p>
