A 24-year-old man charged in connection with the death of a visiting Guyanese law student will learn next month whether his case proceeds to the High Court.<\/p>

Victor Ince of Lightfoot West was due to appear before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Wednesday, but his committal proceedings have been rescheduled to 5 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ince is accused of forcibly seizing and confining 19-year-old Joyleen Abraham, a University of Guyana law student who was visiting Antigua in May, before unlawfully killing her.<\/p>

Abraham was found unresponsive on 7 May along a rural road linking New Winthorpes Village to the Jabberwock main road. She had reportedly travelled to the island to see a personal friend.<\/p>

Investigators say the student allegedly jumped from a vehicle driven by Ince before being discovered. A doctor pronounced her dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police impounded the vehicle for forensic examination and questioned Ince about the circumstances surrounding her death.<\/p>
