Police in Antigua are investigating a series of break-ins this week that left homes and businesses ransacked and valuables stolen.<\/p>

In Yeptons, two houses were targeted in separate incidents. Intruders forced entry through unsecured windows and doors, stealing fishing rods, jewelry, an air-conditioning unit, and a leaf blower. Searches for the stolen property proved unsuccessful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Clarkes Hill, a residence was broken into between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The house was thoroughly ransacked, and thieves escaped with a vault containing cash and ammunition.<\/p>

On North Street, officers responding to an attempted burglary at a business caught a suspect fleeing the scene. Packages were recovered nearby and identified as belonging to the establishment. Police said entry had been gained by breaking the lock on a western door.<\/p>
