The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service has placed Antigua under a Flash Flood Advisory<\/strong> following heavy rainfall from a tropical wave moving across the region.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The advisory, issued at 9:14 a.m. today and valid until midday, warns of minor flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas<\/strong>. Forecasters report that over an inch of rain has already fallen in parts of the island within the past hour, with the possibility of another inch or more in the next 12 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials caution that residents should expect elevated streams and drains, flooding on roads, and water overflow into vulnerable communities<\/strong>. While the flooding is not considered life-threatening, the public is being urged to exercise caution.<\/p>
