The Ambassador of the People\u2019s Republic of China to Antigua and Barbuda, Zhang Yanling, has highlighted China\u2019s progress and the strengthening of ties with its Caribbean partner during celebrations marking the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic.<\/p>

Speaking at a commemorative gathering, Ambassador Zhang expressed gratitude to longstanding friends and partners who, he said, have supported China\u2019s development while fostering deeper cooperation with Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat happened 76 years ago on October 1st was a milestone in the history of the Chinese nation,\u201d he said. \u201cIt marked the beginning of a new era where the destiny of China would be determined by the Chinese people.\u201d<\/p>

Zhang pointed to the strides made under the Communist Party of China\u2019s leadership, citing rapid economic growth, improved social stability, and better living standards. He noted advances in education, medical care, and elderly care, as well as a rise in life expectancy from 35 years in 1949 to 79 years today.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

He also underscored the role of technology in transforming industries and expanding public access to more efficient and inclusive services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ambassador reaffirmed Beijing\u2019s commitment to peaceful development and international cooperation. He said China\u2019s partnership with Antigua and Barbuda was part of a wider effort to contribute to global progress.<\/p>

\u201cWhile sticking to its peaceful development pathway, China continues to work closely with Antigua and Barbuda and other partners to play a responsible role for the betterment of the world,\u201d Zhang told the gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commemoration reflected on China\u2019s past, acknowledged its present achievements, and looked ahead to further collaboration with Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>
