The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched probes into two separate complaints from Golden Grove residents who say they lost tens of thousands of dollars in failed vehicle purchases.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the first case, a woman reported that she paid EC$22,000 in February 2025 to a man from Cashew Hill for the importation of a 2009 white Honda CR-V from Japan. Despite repeated follow-ups, she told police, the vehicle was never delivered. The matter has been referred to the Gray\u2019s Farm Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second woman, also from Golden Grove, alleged that she handed over EC$26,700 to the same man between May 1 and June 11, 2025, for the purchase of a 2013 white Toyota Vitz. She too claims the car never materialised.<\/p>

Both women have provided receipts and transaction details, which investigators are now examining. Police confirmed that inquiries into the alleged swindles are ongoing.<\/p>
