Former Police Constable turned criminal Dave \u201cApple Boy\u201d Roacher\u2019s appeal has been adjourned to November.<\/p>

The adjournment is due to the ex-policeman\u2019s attorney\u2019s late submission of documents related to grounds of appeals filed in the matter.<\/p>\n

Director of Public Prosecutions, Anthony Armstrong told the Court of Appeal the documents that were due on May 2 were only received last Thursday.<\/p>

The Court granted the DPP extra time to respond to the submissions and the matter was adjourned to the next sitting of the Court of Appeal in Antigua & Barbuda, which is slated for November.<\/p>

Roacher was sentenced to 20 years in June of 2015 after he was found guilty of armed robbery the month before.<\/p>\n

The disgraced officer was still a member of the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda when he broke into a woman\u2019s home on Whenner road.<\/p>

The court heard, during the incident, which occurred in 2012, the officer put a gun to the woman’s head before running off with her gold necklace.<\/p>\n
