MIAMITIMESONLINE<\/strong>: Third Horizon, a Miami-based collective of filmmakers, has officially re-launched Anansi TV, an online site that houses a curated collection of films by Caribbean and diaspora artists.<\/p>

The platform, which went live for global public access last week, builds on Third Horizon\u2019s existing work through its annual film festival, aiming to support independent filmmakers and preserve culturally resonant cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese stories were never meant to pass through once and disappear \u2014 they were made to live on, to be returned to again and again. With the (re)launch of Anansi TV, we\u2019re honored to be stewards of this collection and to offer a space where anyone, anywhere, can sit with the richness of Caribbean cinema,\u201d said Romola Lucas, executive director of Third Horizon, in a press release.<\/p>

In addition to individual viewers, the platform also offers licensing options for educators, curators, and broadcasters. This expanded access is intended to support broader engagement with Caribbean cinema in educational and institutional contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relaunch of Anansi TV is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation through the Knight Art + Tech Expansion Grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
