Sports Minister Daryll Matthew <\/a>stressed that the primary goal of school sports is grassroots athlete development. He added that stronger cooperation between the Ministry and schools is essential to improving programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also highlighted recent appointments, including Dr Greene and sports media personality Joel Rayne as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Sports. Both are expected to bring expertise to raise standards for student athletes.<\/p>
