Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have issued a formal apology to Cricket West Indies (CWI) after head coach Paul Nixon criticised the organisation\u2019s handling of all-rounder Justin Greaves\u2019 injury.<\/p>

In a statement, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise said Nixon \u201ctotally regrets any and all remarks made\u201d and stressed its commitment to maintaining \u201ca strong and collaborative partnership with CWI\u2026 grounded in mutual respect and open, constructive dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The apology follows Nixon\u2019s comments after the Falcons\u2019 eight-wicket defeat to Trinidad and Tobago on 27 August. He expressed frustration over a lack of communication about Greaves\u2019 fitness, calling the situation \u201cunprofessional\u201d and \u201cdisrespectful\u201d.<\/p>

Greaves has yet to feature in this year\u2019s CPL, his last appearance coming in West Indies\u2019 ODI series win over Pakistan in August.<\/p>

Nixon, who replaced Shivnarine Chanderpaul as head coach for the 2025 season, has led the Falcons to third place on the points table with three wins from seven matches and one no-result, an improvement on their fifth-place finish last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
