The Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) has dedicated a day to honouring its team of orderlies, describing them as \u201cunsung heroes\u201d who play a vital role in keeping the hospital running smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the centre said Thursday marked \u201cThank an Orderly Day\u201d, a celebration of staff members who help transport patients, ensure safety, and provide comfort and care.<\/p>

\u201cOrderlies are the unsung heroes who keep our hospital running smoothly,\u201d the hospital said. \u201cFrom helping patients move safely to offering kindness and care, they make a huge difference every single day.\u201d<\/p>

Members of the public and hospital staff are being encouraged to show their appreciation through smiles, kind words, and personal messages of thanks. The hospital has also invited people to share stories of how an orderly has positively impacted their experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
