B\u200but while these conversations continue, one painful question remains unanswered: what about the former\u00a0L\u200bI\u200bA\u200bT\u200b 1974 L\u200btd workers\u00a0who were left behind without their severance?<\/p>

H\u200bundreds of loyal employees gave decades of service to L\u200bI\u200bA\u200bT\u200b, keeping the airline alive through its many storms. Y\u200bet, when the company collapsed, we were left with nothing.<\/p>

T\u200bhe\u00a0A\u200bntigua and B\u200barbuda G\u200bovernment\u00a0made an offer, but the\u00a0A\u200bntigua and B\u200barbuda W\u200borkers\u2019 U\u200bnion\u00a0(A\u200bB\u200bW\u200bU\u200b) and its G\u200beneral S\u200becretary,\u00a0D\u200bavid M\u200bassiah, urged us to reject it with promises of a \u201cbetter deal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T\u200bo this day, no better deal has come. I\u200bnstead, we remain broke, abandoned, and struggling to survive.<\/p>
