PiAngo Fest 2025 will return on 17 August at the Cades Bay Agricultural Station, showcasing products made from mangoes and Antigua\u2019s iconic Black Pineapple.<\/p>

Formerly known as Mango Fest, the event was rebranded in 2019 to highlight both fruits. This year\u2019s programme includes an agro-processing competition aimed at helping local producers refine market-ready goods, according to Craig Thomas, IICA National Specialist in Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas said such initiatives could boost agriculture\u2019s GDP share, currently around 2%, with backing from agencies including IICA, the FAO and CARDI. About 60 vendors are expected, matching last year\u2019s turnout.<\/p>

Competitions will be held in eight categories, from wine and honey to jams and hot sauces, alongside the traditional mango-eating contest. Visitors can also view progress on the Black Pineapple rehabilitation project.<\/p>
