CABINET NOTES-<\/strong> The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda <\/a><\/strong>has\u00a0renewed and intensified its call\u00a0for the\u00a0immediate removal of derelict vehicles\u00a0from public streets and roadways across the nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its broader commitment to the\u00a0beautification and environmental enhancement\u00a0of the island, Cabinet emphasized that the continued presence of these abandoned vehicles presents not only an eyesore, but also\u00a0public health and safety risks, and is a clear\u00a0violation of national litter and sanitation laws.<\/p>

Cabinet has directed the\u00a0relevant authorities, including the Royal Police Force, the Antigua and Barbuda<\/a><\/strong> Transport Board, and local government departments, to\u00a0move swiftly and decisively\u00a0to identify and remove all derelict vehicles.<\/p>

Furthermore, individuals who fail to comply or who are found in breach of existing litter laws\u00a0will be fined and prosecuted, as the government moves to enforce environmental regulations with renewed urgency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Cabinet has issued a directive for the\u00a0immediate removal of all abandoned boats\u00a0from\u00a0fisheries complexes across the country. <\/p>

The operation will begin with the\u00a0fisheries complex at Point, where a designated area is being cleared to facilitate the\u00a0construction of a new office complex\u00a0for the\u00a0Antigua and Barbuda<\/a><\/strong> Department of Marine Services (ADOMS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabinet reiterated that these efforts are part of a larger national strategy to:<\/p>
