href=\"https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/prison-officer-expresses-disappointment-with-atlu-and-minister-benjamin-as-protesting-employee-is-victimized\/?swcfpc=1\">AT&amp;LU<\/a><\/strong>) held a recognition ceremony at its Head Office on North Street to honour the accomplishments of the first recipients of the AT&amp;LU Scholarship Programme.<\/p><div id=\"antig-2389593596\" class=\"antig-content antig-entity-placement\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ReggaeInTheParkAntigua\" aria-label=\"lucanio\"><img Indies Five Islands Campus and the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-Operative Studies in Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awardees include two members of the AT&amp;LU and two members of workers\u2014dating back to its founding during the plantation era\u2014and reaffirmed its continued commitment to worker education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy General Secretary Avelyn Watley congratulated the recipients and expressed pride in their accomplishments on behalf of the Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although awardee Gameel Phillip was unable to attend the event due to personal reasons, his achievement was acknowledged and celebrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony was attended by members of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/antiguanewsroom.com\/prison-officer-expresses-disappointment-with-atlu-and-minister-benjamin-as-protesting-employee-is-victimized\/?swcfpc=1\">AT&amp;LU <\/a><\/strong>Executive Committee and specially invited guests of the awardees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Antigua and Barbuda Trades &amp; Labour Union remains steadfast in its mission to not only advocate for workers\u2019 rights
