The journey to the throne has started for eight young ladies who will compete for the title of Miss Antigua & Barbuda on June 25, 2017.<\/p>

Rohanna Smith, Linkya Lee, Shaquan Yorke, Affianna Rodney, Tonya Williams, Ayana Dorsette, Daniel Fabian, and Odelia Deazle are the contestants who will appear in the order listed.<\/p>\n

They were officially presented to the media and members of the public at brief launching at Copper and Lumber Restaurant \u00a0tonight.<\/p>

Adorned in matching white dresses, the ladies all committed to doing their best to win the grand prize of a brand new Sang Yong Corando from Harney Motors and ACE Enterprises.<\/p>

Vanda Neil-Gardner the pageant chairman said \u201cReclaiming Our Pride\u201d, the theme for this year\u2019s pageant, is about a celebration of the arts.<\/p>\n

She said the concept for this year\u2019s pageant is \u201coriginal\u201d adding, \u201cthis year we are showing off.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cWe are boasting of our pageant product by making our effort a Caribbean brand through engaging region media,\u201d Neil-Gardner announced.<\/p>\n

Chairman of Carnival Maurice Merchant told the girls that they have taken on the duties of diplomats for Antigua & Barbuda.<\/p>

\u201cYou are also auditioning to be the face of Antigua & Barbuda. Your role is one of great importance,\u201d he said.<\/p>

The competition will be held at the Antigua Recreation Grounds where they young lady who will replace Leanda Norville will be crowned.<\/p>\n
