With the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season officially underway as of June 1, State Insurance Company Limited is once again stepping up to protect lives, property, and communities through its bold and proactive initiative: Project Cleanup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooted in its long-standing commitment to national resiliency and disaster readiness, State Insurance is proud to announce the relaunch of this community-centered clean-up campaign. The initiative aims to reduce storm-related risks, enhance public safety, and strengthen local preparedness for what experts anticipate will be an overactive hurricane season.<\/p>

Project Cleanup will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, mobilizing staff, volunteers, residents, and stakeholders in targeted clean-up activities to clear debris and main waterways across key flood-prone areas, including Fort Road, Yorks, and McKinnons, beginning at 7:00 AM.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPreparedness is everyone\u2019s responsibility,\u201d<\/em> said Aarion Nicholas, Chief Executive Officer at State Insurance Company Limited. \u201cThrough Project Cleanup, we\u2019re turning awareness into action\u2014it\u2019s a demonstration of our hands-on approach to building national resiliency.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2022, the inaugural Project Cleanup successfully removed bulk waste, often turned into dangerous projectiles during storms, and cleared major gutters to reduce the risks of flooding in the Ebenezer and Jennings areas. In 2024, we focused on the significant waterway in the New Winthorpes community and its surroundings. This year\u2019s initiative builds upon that foundation, emphasizing expanded outreach and a renewed commitment to community collaboration through a partnership with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Environment.<\/p>
